In this month's NEAFP Note we showcase another great Marketing Video from TED: Ideas Worth Spreading, by Seth Godin. Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change. He urges us to do so.
We also are happy to announce the start of a new monthly NEAFP Note feature - The Alpaca Radar. Each month we will be choosing a handful of Blogs, Twitterers, and other online Resources that we think really showcase how beneficial online networking can be for Alpaca Farmers big and small. Head to the NEAFP Note to check out the Alpaca bloggers showcased this month!

NEAFP Note - June 2008
We are happy to announce the addition of 3 new Product Packages
designed to help Alpaca farms successfully begin selling finished
products in their local communities. When Farms place their first
order, the #1 question is "What do you recommend to a first time
buyer?" In this month's NEAFP Note, we answer that question with the
first 3 additions to our Product Packages. Not only are our Best
Selling products grouped together, they are also discounted. To find
out more about the packages please head to our NEAFP Note:

Over the last several months, NEAFP has been trying to provide more and more resources on how to introduce your finished products to new markets. Not only is it important to reach out to new people, it also is important to leave a lasting impression. With the help of Marketing Materials, such as Brochures, Business Cards, Flyers, and easy to use Web Sites, farmer's are able to plant the seed for future business relations.
When creating our own marketing material, We use the following acronym as a guideline - AIDA (Pronounced A-Da).
A - Attention
I - Interest
D - Desire
A - Action
You want your marketing materials to grab the target party's attention and help guide them to take a positive action.
Next time you have a brainstorming session when putting together marketing materials for your farm, keep AIDA in mind.
