They have a children's day and so, of course, we bring our alpacas. I also have done spinning/carding demos. We live quite a way out in the country so this is an easy and inexpensive way to give the people in our community a way to get to know us. (And besides which, it is a lot of fun!)
Last year, the alpaca sales in our store increased significantly due to this exposure!

2007-04-06T16:46:04ZWMaster [Visitor]Just received some great words concerning our WeatherCheater. The buzz is truly heating up about this great, innovative product.
JoAnn and Kristina Flegel, of Dos Donas Alpaca Farm had this to say
about the WeatherCheater:
"We used it on a four week old cria-it is the warmest coat we have ever used!"
"We have not experienced any sweating with it. . .and the baby stayed
dry, despite a downpour."
"The belly band is wider, compared to others. . .you don't have to
adjust the fit as often."
Lindy Huber, of Seldom Scene Farm told us:
"The Weather Cheater coats were very welcome with the string of
cold-weather crias we had this year. With attention to such details
as a tail strap, the coats fit well and stayed in place. Light rain
and snow did not appear to penetrate the coats, which also have great
breathability. All in all, these are coats of extremely high quality
and fit, and we are glad to now own four of them!"
