You can finally smell spring time in the air and before you know it, we will be dusting off our shearing gear and anticipating our long awaited cria. We would like to wish everyone a trouble free, thaw out and a healthy cria season.
NEAFP has had a very busy winter; we have launched a brand new
website. If you haven’t had a chance yet, swing through and check out the new
features. One of the main goals while designing the new site was offer more
than just a simple E-commerce place to do business. We want to enrich our
community, by sharing day to day info on happenings around the mill, other
alpaca industry news and articles, alpaca tips, and also shine a spotlight
on some of your alpaca stores. Check out the featured farm section and submit
your store’s bio and some photos and we will be sure to post it up
with the others.
We are also doing a weekly give away from our mailing list, right
now we are featuring a beanie with an “American Alpaca” logo.
The winners will be posted in our blog. These items will change from week
to week and there is no purchase necessary, we only require you to
sign up for
our mailing list. If you know an alpaca enthusiast or breeder you
may
want to spread the word and have them sign up for the opportunity

Another new and exciting change that NEAFP is making is to label
our socks and offer hang tags for other items as well. This
not only gives our products more curb appeal but it also saves our
customers time
and energy to label these items. If you have your own farm
label you
are more
than welcome
to use them, but this is a great alternative for the alpaca
farmer that doesn’t
have their own. Our goal is to help you sell your products as quickly
and easily as possible.
The fiber bank has been a big hit, many of you have already
signed up for an account. If you haven’t done so already it might be a good
time before the spring rush. Shipping your fiber in once will not
only save you money on mailing it will also save you time on waiting for
products. It also gives you the ability to check on your account
and
know how
much
fiber you have to your credit.
