New Hand Knitters Yarn
NEAFP is happy to announce two new Hand Knitter's Yarns. With all natural alpaca yarn being in very high demand, we revisited our yarn design to better meet this need. Our redesigned yarns are made from prime fiber creating a soft and supple hand in un-dyed natural shades that is priced very competitively.
We kept the attributes of our old yarn that we liked, all natural and competitively priced, and combined that with several changes that would improve on our yarns quality. One of the biggest obstacles with our older yarns was size and weight consistency. Some ran thicker or thinner than we would have hoped. We also were not happy with the overall hand of the yarns. When redesigning these two new yarns, these issues were highest on our priority list.
Our first new yarn is a Sports-Weight Knitter's Yarn. Skeins are 3.5 oz and approximately 250 yards each. It is made from 100% Prime Alpaca Fiber, greatly improving it's hand. We also made it a 3 ply yarn, giving it a fuller body, making it rounder, and also improving the overall hand of the yarn. This yarn is available in an All Natural Brown and All Natural Light Fawn and is best if used with Needle sizes 5-7.
Our second new yarn is a bulkier DK Weight Yarn. Skeins are 3.5 oz and approximately 185 yards each. It is made from 100% Prime Alpaca Fiber, giving it a spectacular hand. This yarn is a 2 ply design, helping to improve it's hand and overall strength. This yarn is available in an All Natural Brown and All Natural Light Fawn and is best if used with Needle sizes 8-10.
These two new Yarns will be available for both Fiber Contribution and Wholesale by April 2nd.
It's shearing time and Spring Shows are upon us so it's time to start
planning Fiber sorting and collection. A great way to reduce your fiber
shipping costs is to take part in one of our upcoming Fiber Collections.

our products and services, as well as running fiber collections:
MAPACA Jubilee - April 25th to 27th in Harrisburg, PA
Buckeye Alpaca Show - May 2nd to 4th in Colombus, OH
Central NY Alpaca Classic - July 5th and 6th in Weedsport, NY
If you plan on taking advantage of these Fiber Collections be sure to have
your Fiber Bank Deposit forms filled out prior to the show. We also will
be taking down new information for Fiber Bank account openings as well. Stay

As we all work together to help grow this industry, it is important we keep a good gauge of the happenings around us. This service allows you to stay up to date on internet buzz regarding any keyword you like. For example, you could set it up with your Farm Name or industry keywords such as "Made in America Alpaca Goods" and easily stay up to date on happenings around the internet regarding these terms.
