We received 2+ feet of snow Monday night through Wednesday morning but are happy to report we are back open today 1/29/2015. We will be working through the orders that built up over the last few days and will begin shipping again today.
All of New England and much of New York are still under snow so there may be some shipping delays due to the storm.
Thank you all for another record breaking year in fiber coming in and U.S. alpaca products going out to farms across the country. The year over year growth you're experiencing on the individual level is reverberating throughout the rest of the industry. We are very grateful for your support and look forward to growing with you in the years to come.
Happy Holidays,
Chris and Shelley Riley

Chris of NEAFP will be speaking at the upcoming Camelid Community's Fiber as Business Conference this August 9th and 10th in Wooster, Ohio.
Head to the website to learn more about the conference and register
More info about the event:
As both alpaca and llama farms have begun to take more interest in the fiber side of raising their animals, many are confused about where to start. If you are wondering how to generate an income flow from all that gorgeous fiber walking around in your pasture, Camelid Community’s “Fiber as Business” conference August 9–10 can provide you with the tools you need to make some money with your fiber. Based on Camelid Community’s earlier survey, we know many llama and alpaca owners are eager to do just that.
Held at the Shisler Center in Wooster, Ohio, the conference will answer questions such as: What can I do with my fiber? How can I do it? Now that I’ve got something, how do I make money with it? After I make money, how do I keep the IRS happy? In short, you will learn the whole process from what to do after you shear your animals all the way to how to put your fiber profits in the bank and not give it all to the IRS.
We want to provide fleece producers throughout the camelid industry the information they need in order to benefit from the services currently available in the industry. We know one size doesn’t fit all and are confident the range of options presented during the weekend will help you find the possibilities that might work for you. We want you to be able to create your own fiber business plan no matter how large or small and no matter what type of alpacas or llamas you have. - Full Press Release
We are happy to announce the opening of 3 new fiber collection points around the country. The new collection points are open in: New York, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Each collection point has a trucking deadline so be sure to coordinate your fiber drop off before it's scheduled to be shipped to NEAFP.
Head to the Fiber Collection section for all the details needed on successfully submitting your fiber to a regional collection point.
Gordon Long of NEAOBA will be running a fiber collection for NEAFP at the NEAOBA Members Picnic at Juniper Knoll Farm in Belmont, NH on June 22nd, 2014. This is a great opportunity for New England farms to get fiber to us for next to nothing, have lunch with other alpaca farmers from New England, and speak with Gordon about NEAOBA.
NEAOBA is charging a nominal service fee of running the collection of $5 for NEAOBA Members, $25 for non members. This is a flat rate, not per bag of fiber submitted. You can bring as much fiber as you would like!
NEAOBA is asking for people to RSVP for this event by June 20th, 2014 - you can RSVP by emailing EVENTS@NEAOBA.ORG .
This collection is open to farms submitting fiber to be entered into the fiber bank as well as fiber submitted to our 2014 Fiber Purchasing Program.
This collection is not eligible for free order delivery.
